The University of Northern Colorado Department of Athletics seeks to provide opportunities for student-athletes, coaches and administrators to interact with the regional community in an effort to extend goodwill, to help fulfill specific needs and to "give back" to our valued constituents.

The Department of Athletics has developed many wonderful relationships with non-profit organizations in Greeley throughout the years and always welcomes the opportunity to develop more partnerships.

If you are interested in having a University of Northern Colorado student-athlete, coach or staff member speak to your organization, please read the following policies and procedures below:

Policies:
1. All requests must be submitted directly to the External Operations Office at least three weeks prior to the desired appearance.

2. All requests for specific appearances will be left to the discretion of Department of Athletics. The Department will decide if any appearance conflicts with its best interests.

3. Because of time demands on student-athletes/staff, we cannot guarantee that each requested appearance will be fullfilled as priority will be given to athletic related issues.

4. Speaking engagements will be limited to a maximum of an hour and a half (1 1/2 hours).

5. Requests must be submitted through the External Operations Office, please do not contact a student-athlete/staff member directly. Student-athletes and staff members are seen throughout our community and we ask that fans do not approach them about speaking opportunities. This policy will help the Department of Athletics follow all NCAA regulations and will not jeopardize a student-athletes' eligibility.

6. Endorsements and marketing ventures are not part of the Bears Giving Back community outreach program and will be referred to the appropriate department.

Procedures:
1. Submit the request form a minimum of three weeks prior to the date of the appearance. All information must be included in the request in order for it to be processed.

3. Requests will be reviewed and written notification will be sent out within a timely manner.

4. All appearances will be followed up with a call to ensure expectations were met.
