Raguse Earns Volleyball Bears' Third Big Sky Honor

OGDEN, Utah -- Allison Raguse had a career performance against Sacramento State on Friday night, Oct. 31, and the Big Sky Conference took notice.

Raguse, a junior middle blocker from Lincoln, Neb., was honored today by the league office as its Player of the Week for matches played between Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.

This is the second such honor this season for Raguse (Sept. 1) and the third player-of-the-week honor this year for Northern Colorado (Breanna VanDerMost, Oct. 6)

Raguse earned this most recent honor on the heels of a dynamic Halloween-night showing against the Hornets. She notched 17 kills on a .394 hitting percentage and added a season-high six digs and a season-high-tying five blocks in the Bears' 3-2 road victory -- Sacramento State's first home loss this season.

She also registered an assist and a service ace in the win, which gave Northern Colorado its first regular-season sweep against Sacramento State.

Raguse ended the night ranked third in the Big Sky in hitting percentage (.339) and ninth in blocks per set (.85).
