OGDEN, Utah – In just her first year on the campus of Northern Colorado, sophomore Adriana Nieto was named All-Conference Honorable mention by the Big Sky coaches.

Nieto, who spent her freshman year at Arkansas, adjusted quickly to life in Colorado by going 4-4 in the Big Sky (12-8 overall) in her first campaign as a Bear. Positioned as either the number one or two singles player for most the season, Nieto continued to pick up steam as the season went along, finishing with victories in eight of her last 11 matches.

After several attempts to find the right chemistry in a doubles-partner, Nieto finally ended teaming with Jennifer Whateley for the final ten matches of the season. Nieto ended the year with a 4-4 doubles record in Big Sky play.

For the second straight year, Sacramento State junior Tatsiana Kapshai took home the women's MVP award, while fellow Hornet, Kiryl Harbatsiuk, was named the men's MVP for the third consecutive year. It is also the fifth straight year Sacramento State has came away with both the men's and women's awards.
