Soccer to put on free clinic on Saturday

GREELEY -- The Northern Colorado soccer program is teaming up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Weld County to give local youth the chance to work with some of the best soccer players in the state during its free clinic on Saturday, March 31 at Jackson Stadium.

The clinic is set to begin at 10 a.m. with registration beginning at 9:30 that morning.

Registration is free and the clinic is open to all elementary and middle school students -- boys and girls --ages 6-13. No soccer experience is required.

The two-hour camp will give youngsters the opportunity to learn important basic soccer skills from current Bear standouts. Along with learning basic skills, participants will also compete in games and have plenty of fun.

“This is a great opportunity for kids to come out and spend some time with our players,” Northern Colorado coach Tim Barrera said. “It’s also a great chance for our players to really get to know and work with those young players. It should be a really fun day.”

All participants must please wear cleats or sneakers. Please contact Tim Barrera at (970) 351-1758 regarding questions about the clinic.
