Northern Colorado at Colorado College
The Bears and Tigers will resume their instate-rivarly when they meet on the pitch at Steward Field in Colorado Springs. The two schools have some history, having playing 14 times in the regular season before this year, but the series has seen a break, as the last time these teams played in the regular season was November of 2004. In that last matchup, the Tigers continued their success over the Bears, winning 2-1 in the Division I Independent Cup.
In the series, Northern Colorado is yet to taste victory, having lost all 14 of the matches its played against Colorado College. The two teams have met twice since 2004, with both of those matches coming in the preseason.
The Tigers come into Thursday’s game with a 3-1-2 overall record. The team has played some very good competition in the early portion of the year, with wins against Dayton, Wyoming and Utah. The Tigers also played Oklahoma and Utah State to draws.
