Northern Colorado vs. Fairleigh Dickinson

In the opening game of the Air Force Academy Fall Classic, Northern Colorado will take on Fairleigh Dickinson for the first time in school history.  The Knights will have travelled the farthest to get to Air Force, traveling a total of 1,836 miles before reaching the Academy.  Fairleigh Dickinson is part of the Northeast Athletic Conference.

The Knights come into the Air Force Fall Classic having lost their first two games of the 2010 season, losing the season opener 2-1 on the road against Manhattan. The team came home and lost 3-0 to Seton Hall in its home opener. Freshman Elizabeth Langer has scored the Knights’ only goal of 2010.

Northern Colorado vs. Citadel

Similarily to the Bears’ first game in the Air Force Fall Classic, the team will go into Sunday’s game against The Citadel with no experience against the Bulldogs. The game marks the first time these two teams will face off against eachother.

The Citadel has opened up its 2010 campaign by going 1-1. The Bulldogs hosted the Citadel Nike Invitational to open things up, going up against Jacksonville and Maine. In the season opener, they lost 3-0 to the Dolphins of Jacksonville, but bounced back nicely with a 3-1 win over Maine. The team was led by freshman Ruth Leiva, who scored a hat-trick in the win against Maine.
