UNC & Greeley West To Host Old Chicago Northern Colorado Christmas Wrestling Tournament

GREELEY, Colo. -- The University of Northern Colorado and Greeley West High School will host the Old Chicago/Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament on Dec. 20 and 21 in Butler-Hancock Hall.

The meet (48-team, Individual tournament) is the largest and arguably the toughest high school wrestling tournament in the state of Colorado. The meet will bring in schools from five states (Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming and Texas).

Eight ranked teams in the state of Colorado will be competing including No. 1-ranked Centauri (3A), No. 1-ranked Standley Lake (5A), No. 2-ranked LaJunta (3A), No. 3-ranked Adams City (4A), No. 4-ranked Brush (3A), No. 5-ranked Loveland (5A), No. 7-ranked Mountain View (4A) and No. 10-ranked Thompson Valley (5A).

Awards will be given to the top three teams, top eight individuals, lower weight outstanding wrestler, upper weight outstanding wrestler, pinning champion and top small school.

An all-session bracelet can be purchased for $15 (Adults) and $12 (Students). Single-session tickets are also available $5 (Adults) and $4 (Students).
