Wrestling Come From Behind to Beat Jackrabbits

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Down 15-3 against South Dakota State, the University of Northern Colorado wrestling team reeled off four straight wins to pull out a 23-15 victory Saturday afternoon in Western Wrestling Conference action.
Heavyweight Reece Hopkin started the late turnaround with a 14-6 major decision over SDSU's (8-5, 1-1) Jason Stripling, and 125-pounder Tony Mustari brought the Bears (5-7, 2-2) back to within two points at 15-13 when the Jackrabbits' Alan Marvin forfeited because of injury. Mustari was up 4-0 when the injury occured two minutes into the match.
Blayze Bahe quickly put the Bears up in the next match with a fall in 59 seconds over Marcus Waters.
Up 19-15 with one match left, the Bears looked to No. 14 ranked 141-pounder Kenny Hashimoto to preserve the Bears' first-ever WWC road win. Seven minutes later, Hashimoto emerged from the mat with a 19-5 major decision over Derek Pirner.
Luke Salazar also picked up a win for Northern Colorado, taking his 157 match 7-2 over the Jackrabbits' Andy Everson.
