Bears Quick Notes

• Northern Colorado is the second-seed in the Big Sky Conference Championship for the second-straight year.

• Sophomore guard D'shara Strange was named the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the year, the second-straight Bear to earn the award after Courtney Stoermer did so a season ago.

• D'shara Strange was also a unanimous First-Team All-Conference selection, while senior Kaisha Brown and junior Lauren Oosdyke were both honorable mention selections.

• Kaisha Brown is just 13 points shy of scoring 1,000 in her career. She would be the 17th player in school history and the second this year as Lauren Oosdyke did so on Feb. 9.

• Northern Colorado outrebounded the opposition in 15 of 16 Big Sky games this year.

• Northern Colorado posted a record of 6-1 in February, tying the 1999-00 team for the second-best mark in the month. The 1975-76 went 7-0.

• Head Coach Jaime White ranks second on the all-time wins list at Northern Colorado with 81. Her next win ties the record of 82 held by Janet Schafer (1985-91).

• Northern Colorado is 494-529 all-time in women's basketball history and is 76-74 since becoming post-season eligible for Division I in 2007-08.
