Game Day Preview: Air Force & UCSB


Bears Quick Notes

• The Bears are looking for their fourth consecutive win over Air Force on Friday and their first-ever win against UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.

• Northern Colorado has won its last two games to even the season record at 2-2.

• Friday will be the 38th meeting between Air Force and Northern Colorado, the second-longest series in school history, trailing only the 41 contests against Denver.

• Both juniors Lauren Oosdyke and Victoria Timm are closing in on 100 career assists and steals. Oosdyke needs four assists and six steals, while Timm needs one assist and four steals.

• Tuesday started a busy stretch for the Bears as they play five games in 11 days. Luckily, four of the five games are at home, and the team doesn't have to leave the state to play any of the contests.

• Three of the next four games for Northern Colorado are against in-state rivals as the Bears play Air Force, Denver and Colorado State in the next eight days.

• Northern Colorado was picked to finish second in the Big Sky standings by the media and third by the coaches in the preseason polls.

• Northern Colorado is 476-521 all-time in women's basketball history and is 58-66 since becoming post-season eligible for Division I in 2007-08.
