Bears' coach Barrera leads Colorado youth team to national championship
Northern Colorado’s Tim Barrera, the head coach of the Bears’ women’s soccer team, added another accomplishment to his impressive resume by recently coaching the Colorado Olympic Development Program (ODP) soccer squad to a national championship.

Soccer Battles Buffs and Conditions To Start Spring
In the first soccer game of the spring, the two teams battled not only each other, but the elements as well on a cold and windy Wednesday evening at Jackson Stadium. Colorado defeated Northern Colorado 2-1 in the first of 10 spring games for the Bears.

Bears set to start spring season against Colorado
The Northern Colorado women’s soccer squad is beginning to prepare for the upcoming season with its opening games of the spring. The Bears will be tested right away as spring competition begins March 10 in a home game against in-state rival, Colorado University.

Bears Have 31 Named To Big Sky Fall Academic
The Big Sky Conference has announced the members of the 2009 Fall All-Academic teams for men's and women's cross country, football and women's soccer and volleyball. Northern Colorado had 31 student-athletes named to the team.
