Women's Golf Wraps Up First Tournament of Fall Season
Women's golf kicked off its fall season at the Ptarmigan Ram
Fall Classic finishing in 18th place with 937 strokes.
Fellow Big Sky team Montana State finished in 19th.
Overall the Bears best round was the second round when the team
posted 312 strokes but the team still fell behind shooting 73 over
par.
The top finish for the Bears in the fist tournament of the year
was provided by sophomore Emily Dougherty. Dougherty finished just
eight over par tying for 40th place posting a final
score of 224. Her best round came in the third where she came in
two under par at 70.
Coming out on top in the tournament was California who shot 18
under par. The Golden Bears were closely followed by the Colorado
Buffs who shot 12 under par.
The Bears will have a break before returning to action on Sept.
21 at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate in Denver.
