second-team all-conference selection as well as an honorable
mention all-region selection after averaging 16.3 points and 8.4
rebounds per game... She also earned Academic All-American honors.
2005-06: Helped lead
the team to a seventh place finish at Nationals and the Region VI
Champions with her 11.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game... For her
efforts, she was named to the Region VI All-Tournament team.
High School: Earned
three letters in basketball, four in track & field and two in
volleyball for Douglas High School in Wyoming... In basketball, she
was a two-time all-state and all-conference performer, as well as
being named the MVP of the state championship game her senior year
in 2005, where the Bearcats won the state title both her junior and
senior seasons... She holds the school record for rebounds in a
game with 20 and was also a team captain of both volleyball and
basketball her senior year... In volleyball, she was also a
two-time all-state and all-conference selection as a middle
blocker... In track & field she was a two-time state champion
in the shot put, and she also competed in the horizontal jumps and
the discus... In addition to her athletic achievements, she was on
the Principal's Honor Roll all four years.
Personal: Born July
29, 1987 in Douglas, Wyoming, she is the only child of Jim and
Melanie Schroeder... She is planning on majoring in both sport and
exercise science and psychology at Northern Colorado... Her father,
Jim competed in gymnastics for one year at Northern Colorado.
