High School: An all-state selection as a senior, she was also a two-time all-conference pick in the South Conference... Named the East Female Athlete of the Year in 2006-07 after averaging 11.5 points and seven rebounds per game... As a sophomore, helped lead the Thunderbirds to the conference title as well as a second-place finish at the state tournament... A member of the National Honor Society and a four-year selection to the honor roll... Also earned two letters playing both middle blocker and outside hitter on the volleyball team... Was the team captain of the basketball team both her junior and senior campaigns... Also named to the All-Tournament Team at the Fairview Tournament in Boulder her junior and senior years.

Personal: The only daughter of Randy and Gilda Merritt, she has an older brother Hayes... Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on November 27, 1988... Has yet to decide on a major at Northern Colorado.
