BOX SCORE: Regis-Northern Colorado

GREELEY -- Jaime White's Northern Colorado women's basketball team shook off the offseason rust Saturday afternoon with an 85-71 victory against Regis University.

Senior Jamie Schroeder led the Bears with 14 points and nine rebounds, while junior Whitley Cox, fully recovered from a season-ending injury last season, added 13 points.

And freshmen Kaisha Brown (12 points) and Cassie Lambrecht (10) had exciting college debuts.

The Bears were tied at 37 with the Rangers following the first half, but they busted out to the 14-point final margin with a 48-34 second half.

Northern Colorado will compete in one more exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 7, against Colorado State-Pueblo.

The Bears will then get their regular season started the following Friday, Nov. 14, at Air Force in Colorado Springs.
