Bears' Softball Squad Drops 4-3 decision to East Stroudsburg
The UNC softball squad dropped its fourth straight decision on Friday as the East Stroudsburg Warriors claimed a 4-3 win over the Bears.
The Bears trailed 4-1 heading into the bottom of the seventh. Then UNC freshman Jana Pintz came to the rescue with a two-run homer that pulled UNC to within one run at 4-3. However, the Bears could not push across the tying run and suffered the one-run setback.
Stephani Miller suffered the loss for the Bears as she gave up one run in the second inning and a trio of runs in the fourth stanza.
UNC fell to 11-8 on the season, while East Stroudsburg improved to 9-6.
