Northern Colorado Edges Butler and George Mason at Rebel Games
The Bears began the day with a late rally to score a 6-5 win over the Butler Bulldogs.
In the sixth, Kati Miller led off with a double and head coach Linda Witt then inserted Nicole Martinez in as a pinch runner. Ashley Martinosky singled to move
The Bears then won it in the seventh when starting pitcher Kelsey Dumler led off with a triple. The Bulldogs then intentionally walked both Casey Hogue and Whitney Platten to load the bases. The Bulldogs got Stephani Miller to hit into a fielder's choice and got Dumler out at the plate. But
Dumler worked a complete game to earn her fourth win of the season. Platten went 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and an RBI. Morgan Dahlman scored two runs and had a triple. Hogue notched a pair of stolen bases to go along with two RBI in the victory.

The Bears made their offense as easy as
Hogue led off the game with a home run. Platten followed with a double and then scored on Dahlman's triple. Heather Beffert earned a walk to put runners on first and third. Witt then called for a double steal and it worked to perfection as Dahlman scored from third and gave the Bears 3-0 lead after one inning of play.
The Bears' fifth inning worked very similarly to the first. Hogue led off with a single. Platten then plated Hogue with an RBI double. Platten scored on another RBI double from Dahlman. Beffert closed out the scoring for the Bears in the inning with an RBI single to score Dahlman.
Stephani Miller worked the complete game for her second victory of the season.
