Men's Golf Finishes Cowboy Classic

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Northern Colorado men's golf team wrapped up the 2008 Wyoming Cowboy Classic in 20th place after shooting a three-round total of 903 on the par 70 course
The Bears top finisher was again freshman Stephen Bidne, who tied for 53rd with a six-over par total of 216 (73-71-72).
UC Davis took home the team title after shooting an 833 and 15th ranked Troy Merritt of Boise State won individual honors after carding a 202 (71-65-66).
Kyle Burns tied for 89th for the Bears with a three-round total of 222 (76-72-74). Bidne's 71 in the second round was the low round tally for NC in the tournament.
The Bears will now head to Stanford, Calif., to take part in the U.S. Intercollegiate on April 19 and 20 to close out 2008 competition.
