Men's golf ends Bandon Dunes Championship in 13th

BEND, Ore. – After shooting a final round score of 318 (+30), the Northern Colorado men's golf team finished the Bandon Dunes Championship in 13th place.

The Bears finished up their three rounds at the Bandon Dunes Golf Course with a combined score of 935 (+71), just three strokes back of Mercer for 12th.

Northern Colorado was led by Alberto Dell'Anna and Steve Bidne, who both finished in a tie for 48th overall.

Dell'Anna, a senior, shot a 9-over par 81 in the final round to finish with a combined score of 232 (+16). His final round score was the highest of his tournament, after finishing the first two rounds just 7-over.

Fellow senior Steve Bidne finished up his stay in Bend with a final round 8-over par 80 to end with a three-round total of 232 (+16).

Nick Bisogno put together the lowest score of the round for the Bears, as he shot a 3-over par 75. He finished with a combined score of 235 (+19), placing him in a tie for 62nd.

The team title was taken by Washington, which put together a three-round team score of 871 (+7). Oregon (+15), Florida (+17), Oregon State (+26) and Colorado (+29) rounded out the top-five.

Washington's Charlie Hughes took home medalist honors after shooting a combined score of 210 (-6). Fellow Husky Chris Williams (+0), South Carolina's Wesley Bryan (+1) and Oregon's Andrew Vijarro (+2) and Jack Dukeminier (+2) all finished in the top-five.

After shooting the team's only under-par round of the tournament, Ryan Boshoven finished with a three-round score of 239 (+23), while Jake Hutton finished with a 255 (+39).

Next up for the Bears is a trip to Goodyear, Ariz. to participate in the Desert Palms Shootout from March 17-19.
