OGDEN, Utah -- Senior guard Tate Unruh came out of his shell this week against Colorado College and UC Riverside with the Big Sky Co-Player of the Week honor serving as proof. Unruh shares the honor with Montana State's Marcus Colbert for the games played between Dec. 9 and Dec. 16.

Unruh, a senior guard from Branson, Mo., led his team in scoring in the Bears' two games over the past week. He set a new career-high for 3-pt FGs and tied a career-high 10 rebounds. Unruh averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 4.0 3FGs per game in a 96-57 win over Colorado College and a 63-60 win over UC Riverside. The honor is Unruh's second of his career.

The senior began the week with nine points, five rebounds, a steal and an assist in 15 minute of play against Colorado College. His contributions came in a pace-setting first half of the blowout win over the Tigers.

Unruh followed with a career night in a tight game with UC Riverside. He converted five 3-pt FGs in the first half before finishing with six 3s and 24 points total. Unruh also grabbed 10 rebounds to record his second double-double of his career. Unruh's game-high points guided his team to a come-from-behind win late in the second period.
