Beitzel, Hill team up for Parkinson's research

GREELEY -- Northern Colorado coach B.J. Hill will get to coach sensational senior Devon Beitzel one more time.
Hill will be an assistant coach and Beitzel will be one of his players later this month when the two join Team Fox and take on the Harlem Ambassadors in a fundraising event at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Mountain View High School in Loveland.
The event is being hosted by the Ambassadors to raise funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, which has funded more than $223 million in research that can lead to the creation of better Parkinson's treatments.
Ambassadors' president Dale Moss was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, and all funds generated through ticket sales from this event will go directly to the MJFF.
Tickets cost $10, and children 4 and under are free. Group rates are also available (20 or more).
All tickets can be purchased at D.P. Dough in Greeley (901 16th St.) and Fort Collins (634 S. College Ave.) or at the Harlem Ambassadors office at 3944 John F. Kennedy Parkway in Fort Collins.

The Ambassadors are in their 13th season of operation and feature two national touring units that perform more than 200 fundraising events for not-for-profit community organizations. They have performed in all 50 states, 20 countries and are a consistent provider of entertainment to the United States Military.
They feature a "Harlem-style" basketball show, including ball-handling tricks, slam dunks and comedy routines. They are uniquely led by coach and star performer Lade Majic, "The Queen of Show Basketball."
Team Fox's celebrity coach is Scott James, the co-host of "Scott and Sadie in the Morning" on Big Country 97.9. Hill will be one of his assistants, as will Len Komoroski, president of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers and longtime friend of Moss.
Beitzel, the 2011 Big Sky Conference MVP and a 2011 Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American, will be joined on Team Fox by Tamika Catchings, an eight-time WNBA All-Star, member of two USA gold medal-winning Olympic teams, and Indiana Fever team leader in the 2009 WNBA Finals.
Team Fox will also include former Colorado State women's basketball players Amaka Uzomah and Sara Hunter and former CSU women's assistant coaches Curtis Loyd and Tia Davis.
