SOME STORY
LINES
- Northern Colorado will look to end a two-game losing streak
when it continues play Monday, Dec. 22, in the Findlay Toyota Las
Vegas Classic. The Bears will first face Liberty and then
USC-Upstate or Southern on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
- Northern Colorado will enter all kinds of uncharted territory
in the two games. The Bears have never played a contest in Las
Vegas or in the state of Nevada. And they’ve never faced the
Flames, Spartans or Jaguars.
- Northern Colorado hasn’t won its final game before
Christmas since winning 86-82 in a double-overtime game against
Texas State on Dec. 22, 2004. The Bears are 13-20 all-time in such
games since the 1975-76 season.
- The Bears finished 7-6 in nonconference games last year, but
they are in need of a spark to have similar success this season.
Northern Colorado, at 3-7, has five non-Big Sky games remaining,
including the two games this week.
