For the first time at Northern Colorado, single game captains will be announced to the team on the Thursday evening and the media on Friday morning prior to a Saturday football game. This year, head coach Scott Downing created a Champions Council consisting of 15 student-athletes who will lead the team. That group will be responsible for selecting the captains for each game.

Against Kansas on Saturday, seniors Bryan Waggener (QB) and Ryan Kemp (OT) will represent the offense, juniors Korey Askew (CB) and Matt King (LB) will represent the defense and senior Ryan Lutz (S) will represent the special teams.

The game at KU can be seen on Fox College Sports Central (DirecTV: 617; Dish Network: 414; Comcast Sports Entertainment Tier: 414) and will kickoff at 6:08 pm (Central)/5:08 pm (Mountain).
