  • Sean Palinckx, Leilon Willingham, Jordan Bible and Tyler Dogins all started for the first time at Northern Colorado.
  • Courtney Hall intercepted a pass on Utah’s opening drive. It was the first interception of Hall’s career.
  • Senior Mason Puckett’s first punt of his career went 52 yards. Despite two snaps bouncing before getting to him, Puckett averaged 42.4 yards per punt for the game. Puckett has handled kickoffs for the Bears the previous three seasons and split time as placekicker in his sophomore year.
  • Sophomore DT Devontae Chapple batted down a pass in the second quarter to force Utah into its second punt of the game. It is the second pass break-up of his career.
  • Senior S Jordan Bible recorded a career-best six tackles in the game. His previous high was two on two different occasions.
  • Sophomore DT Lexington Smith also notched a career-high with eight tackles in the contest, bettering his previous total of five from two games a year ago.
  • With 58 kickoff return yards, senior Dominic Gunn extended his career record. Gunn now has 1,630 in 35 games played.
  • Junior WR Jace Davis has now caught at least one pass in the last 15 games in which he’s played. He caught three passes for 21 yards on Thursday.
  • The two teams combined for just six penalties in the game, three by each team.
  • Senior LB Clarence Bumpas recorded double figures in tackles for the tenth straight game, leading all players with 10.
