Mother Nature takes another game from Baseball

Staff report

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- For the second straight week Mother Nature has forced a cancellation in the Northern Colorado baseball schedule. The Bears' mid-week game scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, has been cancelled with no make-up date announced.

Extreme cold temperatures in the Colorado Springs area were deemed too cold to play in, so Northern Colorado and the Falcons will hold off on their season-long series.  Northern Colorado won the first meeting 12-4 against Air Force on April 3 and will play two more games against the Falcons on back-to-back weeks. The teams are slated to play in Greeley on April 24 and at the Air Force Academy on April 30.

Northern Colorado will host NJIT this weekend for a four-game Great West Conference series. First pitch Friday is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Jackson Field.
