Softball can't overcome big innings in Mizzou invite
Northern Colorado softball nearly put together two great games Friday at the Demarini Invitational on the campus of the University of Missouri. Just an inning in each game kept the Bears from knocking off Eastern Michigan and the host Tigers, ranked No. 3 in the latest NFCA poll. The Bears (7-18) fell to the Eagles 6-4 and came up short against Mizzou 7-1 and will take the field again tomorrow against Northwestern and Ball State.

Northern Colorado moves up one spot after second round in Goodyear
Despite another day of ideal conditions to go along with solid rounds by two Bear golfers, the Northern Colorado men’s golf team struggled to move up in the leader-boards at the Denver Desert Shootout. The Bears finished up its second-round of play at the Palm Valley Golf Club with a team score of 296 (+8), moving past Northern Iowa into thirteenth place in the standings.

Gaethje Advances To Final Day of NCAA Championship
The last time it happened, the head coach wasn’t even alive. The ‘it’ is a Division I All-American for the Northern Colorado wrestling team, but ‘it’ happened at the 2010 NCAA Championship on Friday as junior Justin Gaethje has secured the honor and will wrestle for seventh-place tomorrow.

Baseball Hopes To Host Jackrabbits For Three
